Work

webOS: Palm Pre and Pixi users have no doubt felt some frustration trying to get additional functionality out of webOS's built-in Music Player. Music Player (Remix) 2.0 is a free music player for webOS that's rich in features and functionality.

The most notable features include:

  • Type-to-search for songs, artists or albums
  • One-touch ability to keep the screen on
  • The ability to create "flylists," playlists built on the fly
  • Pin favourite songs, albums, artists, genres, playlists, or flylists to the home screen for quick play access
  • Finger-friendly buttons and scrubber bar
  • Swipe to preview songs and queue next track
  • One-touch to access lyrics while your track is playing
  • Lots of functionality still available while the player is minimized

Music Player (Remix) 2.0 Beta is compatible with webOS 2.x and above. While currently a free download, it has plans to hit the App Catalog in the near future. As with all Homebrew webOS apps, you'll need to install Preware on your device first.
